Bringing Toyota to Life at the Olympic Trials with AR

I designed an immersive AR experience where users drove Toyota’s iconic cars through Paris landmarks and Olympic-themed obstacles, bringing the brand’s legacy and innovation to life. Led a massive marketing campaign that propelled the experience to over 82,000 users and 142,000+ sessions, deepening thousands of connections to the brand.
Planning Game Play
I designed and built the core interactive mechanics for a three-level AR racing game, where players freely navigated obstacles to find the fastest route. Each level highlighted a different Toyota vehicle, showcasing their unique capabilities.
A key challenge was creating smooth, accessible driving mechanics for AR newcomers. Through rapid prototyping and playtesting, I refined the joystick UI, worked with developers on car physics, and adjusted gameplay for fluid navigation.
Hi Fidelity Design
I then focused on pixel-perfect execution, aligning every design element with Toyota’s and the Olympics' branding for a polished final experience. I created the visual assets, UI elements, and AR interactions, ensuring a seamless blend of gameplay, brand identity, and intuitive design
I led a marketing campaign with 33 branded assets—social posts, videos, posters, and web banners—designed to complement the game’s UI. This cohesive approach drove users to the experience and exceeded engagement goals.
Results
The experience attracted 82,427 users and generated 142,000+ sessions, building excitement around Toyota’s Olympic presence. By leading both the game design and the marketing rollout, I brought Toyota’s brand to life in AR—giving users a hands-on way to interact with the vehicles and creating an experience that was immersive, exciting, and unforgettable.
